The new school year has been upon us for weeks now, in fact Maddie and Connor are already enjoying their first off track break this entire month! Brayden is adjusting well to middle school and is liking the bigger scene. He comes home from school happy and always has a lot to talk about. Fisher started preschool last month, just 4 hours per week, and LOVES every minute of it! He begs to go on his days off and it's been wonderful for him to have something of his very own (without competition from aggressive little brother). Since we've been juggling school schedules since late July, with different kids coming and going and starting and stopping, we still haven't experienced what our REAL school schedule will feel like, but will finally get the hang of that in October! Do I sound excited?? Rick is working out the house again as of last week when he started with a different recruiting firm. He'll hang onto a few clients from his own company, but will mostly set that aside to avoid conflict of interest. We're not sure yet if this new position will stick or if he'll find something else that feels better, time will tell.

that is just a classic left behind look. I get that one more and more every year from the next school kid. You sounded so calm about Rick not really having a stable job, the unstable job is what I understood but maybe I misunderstood.
Great pix; we love your cute family. Poor Logan, although I bet he loves having you all to himself for a few hours. Glad middle school is going well, and continued best of luck in the career department!
I love that last picture of Logan! That's funny.
great pics!
Will we see any of the Portreys at the game on Fri?
Love it! Is it bad that I get that look from Logan every time I look at him? Am I doing something wrong?
I laughed when I saw Logan. He won't be left behind for long. I also loved Fisher's pose. I can't believe the others are so big. Why does that keep happening?
I know what you mean--what is the real schedule? Life just gets more interesting when you add middle school to the mix. It means you never get a morning off, right? Sigh.
Hoe do you keep up, Supermom? Everyone looks so happy and healthy and well-groomed:). You're amazing.
