the new me

Pioneer Trek is next week! I've been to a million Deseret Industries and a few other random places, trying to round up stuff to pass as simple pioneer clothing. I've sewn my aprons, rigged up some bloomers, and I'm deciding whether to sew a quick skirt since one of my $3 D.I. finds is U-G-L-Y and well, tropical. Not quite the same look as the serene lady above. Considering that I still need to gather most of my equipment and prepare a pre-women's pull talk among of few other details, like learning a super-secret dance number (shh! not a word!!), I just may be the Bahama Mama of the prairie. Think anyone will notice?

You will have a pioneering spirit so no one will notice the bright yellow ley flower hulu dress!!! Have fun.

Have a great time! Evan and Alyssa are going this week, too, and we haven't had too much luck at DI. Still need to sew bloomers and a flannel nightgown and find a hat for Evan. Good luck getting it all together, with kids starting school on top of everything else!
