5 Things I've Been Doing Lately...

#1: Getting my wisdom teeth pulled.
Eww. Have I ever mentioned how much I HATE dental work? Well, I really hate it. Happily I went to an oral surgeon. Things we learned from this experience: Tracy and pain medication aren't the best combo. Also, getting your teeth pulled makes you drool. While you're sleeping, of course. Rick says I drooled so much he had to change my pillowcase, but I think he's just being dramatic. Then again, I was pretty out of it. The good news is I can almost open my mouth all the way again. Call it a victory.

#2: Fourth of July Traditions!
We kicked it off with a McGee family outdoor breakfast, saw Wall-E and BBQ-ed with friends, and later, walked over to lay under our awesome city fireworks. We love doing this every year and thought this year was the best yet. Really, the entire sky was lit up. Tyler & Katy visited and we finally got to meet our newest niece!

#3: Going to the JOURNEY concert!
So much FUN! It was a trip back in time with a few of our neighbors...and check out the new lead singer--he sounded so good! There's nothing like outdoor, live music in on a summer night. We're looking forward to Brian Regan next month...not music, but sooo funny.

#4: Being hot.
In temperature. Thanks, though.

And FINALLY,

#5: Girls Camp, Girls Camp, GIRLS CAMP!!
I saved the biggest for last. Lots of work, but the results were worth it, bear-sightings and brazen potguts included! I quickly learned that I can get hot and dusty enough to want to zipline into an algae-filled lake. Many times. And think it's fun. And then take a serious shower. Check this and this out for a glimpse (of girls camp, not the showers.)

Rick got to come up on bishopric day to help out with our amazing 'Are You Anchored?" race and experience the zipline and the challenge course. Since there's never a dull moment with Rick, he shaved the skin off his fingers on the rope swing, requiring humorous first aid and entertaining the girls to no end. He'll never live it down, but it's good to be loved. All and all, it was a successful week, with major kudos to Maverick! Good women, good girls, good times. I loved being part of it.

I just assumed that you had been on vacation becuase that is what everybody does during the summer but I guess I was wrong. I wouldn't say that getting wisdom teeth pulled was any vacation at all!!!! Glad that the other things that you have been doing have been fun and spiritual.
